Political Parties’ Registration Deadline Extended by Four Days

Kathmandu: The Election Commission has extended the deadline for political parties to register for the upcoming March 5 House of Representatives election by four additional days.
The registration period, which was set to conclude today, has been prolonged following requests from several political parties, according to Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai.
Between November 17 and 26, a total of 106 parties submitted applications for registration. With the new submissions, the Commission stated that the total number of parties registered now stands at 137.
